Broadway Cares!!!!

If you are anything like us, you are quaking with anticipation for the big ABC & SOAPnet Salutes Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS event that's happening on March 9th and 10th. It all starts out with a big song-and-dance show on March 9th, on Broadway. Ever since we heard about this mega-event, we've been wondering "What will the stars be singing?" Will anyone be singing songs from beloved Broadway musicals like "Little Shop of Horrors"? Well now, in a SOAPnet.com exclusive, we have ANSWERS, people.

The entire show will begin with BethAnn Bonner, Hillary B. Smith, and Chrishell Stause with Susan Lucci performing "Daytime Queen," a play on "Dancing Queen" from "Mamma Mia." Then Kristen Alderson will be singing a gorgeous Carole Bayer Sager hit called "Mother's Prayer." Jason Tam will be singing AND dancing (he's a triple threat, folks) "All I Need is the Girl" from "Gypsy."

Brandon Barash is singing "Dentist," one of the best songs from "Little Shop of Horrors." That's not the only hot Broadway action though. Mark Lawson will be singing a selection from the only ABBA-authored musical about chess players on opposite sides of the Iron Curtain, appropriately titled "Chess." From "Kiss Me, Kate," Susan Lucci and Cameron Mathison will be singing "Too Darn Hot." There's tons more, including Kathy Brier singing Guns N Roses's "Sweet Child O' Mine."

They haven't said what Geary/Bradford are doing but we know from the last BA PA, it will be together.

According to the latest info on SOAPNET, Bradford, Tony & Brandon will be at the 9-11 am autograph session. (that would be Spin, Luke and Johnny)


When: Tuesday, March 10th, 9 to 11am and 11am to 1pm.

Where: 320 West 66th St. (it's happening on "The View" set, FYI), New York, NY

How: Show up! It's a $10 minimum donation, with all proceeds benefitting Broadway Cares.

Susan Lucci will headline the 5th Annual "ABC and SOAPnet Salute Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS" benefit with previously announced co-star and host Cameron Mathison.

Talent confirmed to participate, include: Melissa Claire Egan, Bobbie Eakes, Ricky Paull Goldin, Vincent Irizarry, Chrishell Stause, Aiden Turner, Darnell Williams, Walt Willey and Jacob Young from "All My Children." Kristen Alderson, BethAnn Bonner, Kathy Brier, Scott Clifton, Kassie DePaiva, Mark Lawson, Hillary B. Smith, Jason Tam and Brittany Underwood from "One Life to Live" and Bradford Anderson, Anthony Geary and Kimberly McCullough from "General Hospital."
Additional cast and special guest stars to be announced at a later date.

Talent participation is subject to change.

The event is part of the "Soap Nation Tour," ABC Daytime Division's ongoing initiative to interact with fans on a year-round basis, offering greater access to stars in more cities, more often.
