June 4th-9th Recap

June 4th

Spinelli's attempts to impress the lady at Jake's turned out to be futile. She wasn't exactly interested in him, or any man (if you catch my drift). Maxie showed up after the failure and told him to get rid of his spam posts on Robin's blog. He almost let is slip that Patrick was paying him with Ladies Man Tips for spamming her blog in the first place. Maxie tells Spinelli that since she had to leave work to sort the whole thing out for Robin he must help her at Crimson in order for Kate to stay off her back. As they go into Kate's office together, Spinelli and Maxie crash Kate and Sonny's very own private party. Spinelli was horrified, but Maxie made a comment later that she would like a man who could sweep her off her feet like that. She is attracted to the kind of man that makes you forget to lock the door.

June 5th

Spinelli tries to get Jason to help him out with wooing Maxie but he is too busy. Jason tells Diane to help Spinelli out. Diane hears Spinelli's version of the events at the Crimson office and insists that Maxie was dropping hints. She believes that Maxie wants HIM to "seize the day" again. Spinelli goes back to Maxie at the office, determined. He sweeps her up in a kiss.

June 6th

Kate interrupted the kiss action on her desk between Spinelli and Maxie. Maxie assumed just he was kissing her as a cover for her snooping in Kate's office. Maxie KISSES Spinelli in thanks for his genius. Kate banned Spinelli from Crimson until he could keep his hands to himself (Maxie later fought with Kate on this subject, waxing poetic about what an awesome person her friend was, and pretty much demanded Kate give him some respect.

Spinelli went to Jason to get some man advice since Maxie seems determined to see him only as a friend. Sonny came into the conversation and told Spinelli to leave. Spinelli wanted to apologize to Sonny again for I guess existing. Sonny got angry and, in front of Jason, repeatedly called Spinelli "freak boy". Spinelli took the abuse in strange silence, zoning out as if blocking it all out, then left. He wound up on the docks, looking as though he were about to cry, when Leyla came down the stairs in a great dress, asking if he was okay and if she could help.

June 9th

Leyla and Spinelli were at the wedding already when the show started. Spinelli was wearing a suit. Horrible shirt, but nice hair and general appearance. He told Leyla's mom what a great guy Leo was, which made Leyla turn green thinking that her mother would be pressuring her to get married. She explained that her mother bugs her a lot about settling down and having babies. Spinelli gave Leyla a great pep talk that led Leyla to say that Spinelli was the perfect date and she wouldn't want to be there with anyone else. This made him grin, a wee bit shocked. The last we saw of them, Spinelli and Leyla were waltzing, having a good time.

Last night, I swore it was a dream (at least some of it)



Today, I think it all happened.

Of course, I'm talking about the series NIGHT SHIFT.

After thinking on it, I like that it happened. I think it deepened most of the characters involved (Patrick probably took the biggest hit) but certainly Robin, Spin and Jason are the better for it. I've really come around to the thought that this troubled girl was Spin's first sexual experience, and he really got to her.

I like it.

Of course, Jason was the hero of the shootout, but Spin had his moments, certainly Robin did.

Jolene jumped in front of a bullet meant for Spinelli, and she is now in an apparent irreversable coma.







Today's show verified that it was real. (at least, I got that impression) Leo was shot. Kelly had her sex problem. Lainey/Cody were plotting to allow Jolene take the blame so he wouldn't go down for her pulling the plug on her father. Spin was wondering why Jolene was willing to die to save him.

As for the part of the show that isn't so HUH? Carly took Spin by the hand today and offered him junk food. Of course, we know this means trouble.

Smartly, Spin ran straight to Sonny. Mr. Corinthos sir, Valkyrie, Valkyrie, etc. etc. Sonny told him to say "CARLY". Spin managed to spit it out.. C-C-C--Carly. ha!!

Spinelli !! He is back (Friday Recap)

Spinelli is back on Friday's. It was a great Spinelli episode with Spineli scenes with Sonny, Jason (Diane) and Lulu.

Yeah.. Spinelli was on today!!!

Today Spinelli got tangled again with our friend neighborhood crime boss Sonny.

He pretty must implied that he would get 'rid' of Spinelli if he stepped out of line again. Thankfully before Sonny smashed Spinelli's baby Kate saved the day. Thank you Kate.

Then we where treated to something very special. Spinelli visited Jason by pretending he was one of Jason's lawyers.

Spinelli was so cute how he got into the prison. Jason is so calm with Spin. They do have a two sided friendship. More so then anyone else. It was so funny how Spinelli told Jason that Sonny wants to get 'rid' of him.

Today we had a LOT of Sonny & Spinelli Scenes. Sonny told Diane the source of Jason's secret pain. I personally though the Spinelli & Sonny scenes where great. In Sonny's special way I think he was trying to be patient. (Good thing Spinelli didn't meet Sonny before he was on meds)

After Diane left Kate came and we had a very brief Spinelli, Kate & Sonny scene.

After He left Sonny's office he had a short discussion with Lulu letting her know that Sonny knows about Baby Jake's parentage. Lulu was a little pushy today but lets blame it on stress ok?

As Lulu left the Monster came in and Spinelli and him had words.

Total was a continuation of Baby Jake's kidnapping (Or how many ways can they destroy Lucky)

First we Lucky comes into to Kellys and talks to Spinelli & Lulu. They both give him "what are you thinking" looks when he said he thought Elizabeth did something with the Baby Jake.

I don't think Lucky remembered 'attacking' Spinelli in yesterdays episode. He just seemed to 'friendly' with him today. You normally don't tell someone you said is a suspect that you don't trust your wife.

After Lulu & Spinelli parted, Spinelli went to Sonny's house to tell him about the kidnapping. Strange how at times Spinelli just knows what Jason would have wanted him to do.

Drat I can't catch you.

I actually liked the scene with Sonny & Spinelli today. Sonny was less mean and the "NOW" didn't bother me much.
The fact that Kate & Spinelli had their first scene together .. umm No sure how i feel about that

They then capped the episode of with Sam pulling a con on Spinelli for him to stop trying to find footage in the park. It is not that I REALLY think Sam took Baby Jake but that I think she is afraid it will show how close she was to the scene when he was kidnapped. At least Spinelli saw in the end that Sam perhaps is not the best person to put your trust in.

I have decided that this is the theme of today's episode. Friendship. (and cement keyboards too because that is important)

Spinelli's scenes with Sonny. Boy has Sonny been hard on sweet Spinelli the past few days. I really laughed though much of it though. Bradford did such an amazing job through the whole scene. Poor Spinelli was so scared. Then after when Jason found Spinelli asleep on the couch. how cute was that. Hugging his computer. I loved how Jason was loud after he has already seen Spinelli so Spinelli would not think that Jason saw him so 'vulnerable'.

I really prefer orange soda.

Then .. then.. Lets get to the Spinlu scene at the end. Oh gosh that was beautiful. Spinelli didn't probe. He said the thing she needed the most. He was there when Lulu needed him the most.
She looked so safe that very moment.

So Jason is suddenly a lackey?

So what the hell was that yesterday? Yes, Jason turned on Sonny last year, taking over Sonny's business because of his relationship with Emily. Yes, their relationship is obviously still strained. But I was unaware that when Sonny took the business back that Jason signed on as "lackey." What else could explain his treatment of Jason yesterday?

I have no use for the character of Sonny. He's an overblown, egotistical caracature. That kind of character can be great on a soap, but he says the same things over and over and over again, and I find all the Sonny storylines tedious and boring.

That being said, the attack on Spinelli yesterday was over the top, even for Sonny. It went way beyond jealousy over the relationship between Spin and Jason. It not only proved that there is apparently no relationship left with Jason other than "boss and lackey" but that Sonny finds him completely ignorant and untrustworthy. Worse yet, Jason seems to agree since he barely tried to stand up for himself or Spinelli, even when he was told he was sloppy. Is this Guza's attempt to get the legion of Sonny fans he lords over to turn on the JaSpin friendship?

I will say that I was tickled when Spinelli didn't immediately drop everything he was doing to address Lulu. She needs to understand that Spinelli doesn't just sit around and wait for her to have a problem. He had an almost "duh" look on his face as he was telling her that perhaps she shouldn't attend the court hearing. This in no way negates his feelings about "the blonde one," but it shows growth for the Spin character and gives hope for a positive, mature relationship for SpinLu, however far in the future that may be (ack).

I am sickened that Spin apparently won't be there for Lulu during her breakdown over the rape reveal. This goes against the grain in a major way for the history of their relationship, but with Guza, all you can do is hang on and hope the ride doesn't make you too sick...

I declare today Hug Spinelli Day.

How sad was today.
Seriously i am having a hard time talking about it. Look at that boy's face. They have put him in such a position that he is not going to be available when Lulu needs him the most. At least Lulu made him smile. Two days in a row Spin has been someones whipping boy. Both times out of jealousy.
