What a breathe of fresh air. Ellie is cute. These scenes weren't forced or unnatural. They were lovely. Its nice to see SPinelli manipulate someone (ha) to get what he wanted. I hope we see more of these two together. Looking forward to where it could lead.

The only thing I enjoyed about General Hospital this week (yes its sad) is that the more I hear...the more I am truly thinking Steven Webber & Maggie (who is a pediatrician)

If I am suppose to believe Dante is younger then Olivia (yes I know Dom is younger then Lisa, but I think he looks at least 10 years older then her) then yes Steve easily can be Spinelli's father.

Why did Spinelli live with his Granny in TENNESSEE? Why won't Steve speak about TENNESSEE? What happend with this Maggie chick in TENNESSEE? Could they have just been starting out med school? Perhaps even before that? Seems like soaps always throw in that random time (even years later...think Olivia (really Sonny though), Alexis, etc) of when a character who has been on canvas for years got pregnant in high school. Easily possible. It would build a core family on the show that I have been missing. It would build history. They wouldnt have to re-write Steve or even Spinelli's history as we like know squat.

Spinelli loves babies. Is it because he is attached to all babies and knows what its like to grow up with out both parents?

A Review of The Secret Life of Damian Spinelli

As a huge fan of the character of Damian Spinelli and General Hospital I throughly enjoyed this book. It was a departure from the usual storyline that is actually on the show with a lot more fantasy which is at the core of who the Character of Spinelli is. I wish the show itself would use more creative license to go this route with their storylines for Spinelli.

Carolyn Hennesy depicted Spinelli well but I feel at times she may have utilized too many cliche references to Film Noir or old movie classics. I like the utilization of it because that is a technique that is used on General Hospital when Spinelli is in PI mode but I think she went a little overboard. But all and all her writing made me laugh and I had a good time reading it.

This book, whether you enjoyed it or not, was a tribute to a wonderful and unique character that only could be developed on a Soap. Soaps are all about fantasy and it is a genre that should be celebrated. Buy the book if only to show how much you love Soaps and hope that you will be able to watch for some more years to come.

My special thanks go to Bradford Anderson without whom this character would be as flat as a piece of paper. Damian Spinelli is a success due to his creative and talented nature. I'm glad I read the book and would recommend to all who are fans of Soaps.

Today was amazing

Today was one of my favorite episodes ever. Reminds me why I watch GH. Why others should watch GH.. Amazing.. I laughed and cried. Magic. I will blog later.

8:27am. I have no idea where I stopped off Will post when I figure out what air date I am on.

8:33am my DVR says I am on airdate 8-24-09. I think I may have deleted a few episodes before that. So hopefully I am not confused. Jason is all wounded Sam is talking talking to him.

8:36am ok I defindly lost a few episodes. I have no idea what is going on. Sonny is talking to Claudia he started a scolorsh for the the baby they lost. Does he does this for all the women he impregnats and they lose a baby?

8:41am. Morgan says thats random and then it cuts to Nik and Elizabeth kissing in the rain. Gosh I am so lost.. LOL

8:44am ff... ff... ff... wait Jax knows about the Dante?

8:55am Ok that episode is done. Realized when you play music and fast forward GH its like they are dancing. No Spinelli in this episode but adorable Morgan was so adorable. Why is Sam and Jason kissing if Jason was just seriously hurt???

9:01am Airdate 8-25-09 Jason just took Sam's shirt off and when I am fast forwarding Morgan looks like Spinelli. They dress a lot a like. LOL

9:11am Lots of Fast forwarding. No Spinelli yet, Jason and Sam have sex and then his is playing with a gun. That didn't sound right LOL. Saw Kristina and Micheal are still on the beach but she is fawning all over Kiefer. eww Kristina Fast Forwarding.

9:19am Episode 8-25-09 is DONE. ended with Elizabeth taking a bubble bath with candles of course. Candles are important. Where is my Spinelli???

9:23am Starting Episode 8-26-09 I hear Spinelli and get all excited. wait.. no is this THE episode. hits pause...walks over blogs. ok going back.

9:27am Why is Spinelli carrying Maxie into the room and why are they replaying the Jason and Sam scene over ?? LOL

9:33am WTF this episode is one big train wreak. bleahh

9:43am I am so taking one for the team today. If i had any brains I would delete this episode before watching it all. I will watch every Spixie scene. I must...

Why did Nik and Rebecca have sex? thats a strange way to get revenge. That crazy Cassidines

9:55am Ok Episode is over. I am a little sick truth be told. That whole episode sucked. I will decide that those Spixie scenes didn't happen.

9:59am. Airdate 8-27-09. Starts off with a sleeping Spinelli.. NOW there is how you start of an episode. would have been better if he was topless.

10:02am bad wardrobe choice. Bradford looks like a 6 year old LOL. Maxie is running around half naked trying to trick Spinelli to have sex with her.

10:28am Why do they have to make Mac so grumpy??

11:17am Sorry for the Delay had to be a Mommy for an hour. My daughter is safely at her after school program.

11:40am I am so bored with this episode (still on 8-27-08)

11;45am a nice spurt of fast forwarding. wait Max just dropped Diane.. At least he did it on the couch.

11:50am Spinelli is in Jax's office. He did a trace on an email?? I missed that LOL Dante doing more laundry.

11:56am. Spinelli told Jax where the kids are so that mean Jason and Sam will be finding them shortly I assume.. Another episode DONE.

12:03pm Airdate 8-28-09 (my birthday)

Jax tell Carly that he found Micheal just as Jason and Sam swoop in and save the kids from some drunk beach goers. Where did Spinelli go? To buy ivy or something?

12:12pm Jason and Sam getting gitty over who gets deal with the drunk thug threating Micheal. Murder mystery stuff not that its been much of a mystery. Kate sighting.

12:24pm WTF,, Kate was 'undercover' the whole time a whole storyline happended (that would have been interesting) and we missed it? News is also spreading around that the wayward teens have been found.

12:28pm interesting. Jax pays Morgan to eat healthy snacks ot keep Carly's diet healthy.. Would be sweet if it wasn't so creepy.

12:50pm creepy doctor checks out Jason while Micheal runs off to 'work' and Claudia over hears that its Kristina that caused the accident.

1:05pm Airdate 8-31-09 Micheal and Jason comparing brain damage. LOL Both Kristina and Micheal know that Alexis has taken the fall for the accident.

1:15pm Claudia is vowing revenge Again.. LOL Micheal wants to live on the beach forever lol. Like that worked out so great for him LOL

1:24pm drat Jason and Sam are stopped by the kids I hate when that happends LOL

Claudia gets all creepy on Carly and Sonny tries and assigns his son Dante as his son's guard. I like like being your own papa?

1:33pm ahh Micheal is trying to do something nice for his mom ahhh. He asked his sister to keep quiet that the guy who killed is grandfather was involved in their adventure. How sweet.

1:40pm Jason and Sam makes goo goo eyes on each other and the episode ends.

1:47pm Airdate 9-1-09 kids are home and Spinelli is talking to a cut out Jason. LOL.. and the episode has a warm feel like a nice blanket. Michele Val Jean is by far my favorite writer.

Will update more later off to be a mommy a again.

From a Sewer to the Rooftop

Its rare but sometimes a real love story comes along. An epic story filled with heart and beauty. A bond formed when they both were in the a lowest point of their lives that carried them to this highpoint. There has been so much that has happend in the past year and a half, through it all they have both grown and achieved so much that they simply would not without the other.They complete each other...

I could be tired but I am seeing symbolism everywhere to Spinelli soiling her designer shoes in a sewer to giving her a ring on a rooftop.

Maxie had lost her sister and lover by tragic death while at a career standstill till finding real true love and getting the job of her dreams. Spinelli dreaming of becoming a PI to really BEING a PI and him fnally able to completely give his heart away to someone else.

Enjoy the Ride...

Are you like me and you try to dissect everything on your screen? Do you sit in front of your tv and try to understand the motivations characters and future plots? My husband gets really annoyed with me when I do this. We will sit down to watch a night of tv and I will keep pausing the program to discuss what is going on. He will then look at me and put his arms up in the air like he is on the roller coaster."Can't you just enjoy the ride?" he asks...... Umm...no...Not really. But, with GH, Spixie, and Spinelli's storyline, I am going to try. Why don't you give it a try too. This is a soap. Nothing comes easy. There is no easy payout. A couple's happiness is short lived. Sometimes we get so invested in the big payout we forget the big picture. It is a soap...where you can be murdered by your evil twin and come back to life to save your grown secret child whose father could be 1 of 20 people.

So tonight think of me because tonight is Survivor and I will be trying to be three steps ahead of everything and I imagine my husbands hands will be going up at least 4 times tonight.

Sit down. Buckle up and enjoy the ride. Its going to be bumpy and it may make you sick but keep holding on. You may enjoy yourself in the end and then get back in line so you can go back on again.

Feeling like a Yo-Yo.

Since the start of the year Spinelli's storyline has been all over the place. Big highs with HUGE lows. I am dizzy.

Lets review for those who have forgotten.

Maxie and Spinelli have sex but get into a major fight after when Spinelli realizes it was over jealously of Winifred. (that was good)

Spinelli gets arrested by the FBI (good)

Kate hires Johnny as Maxie official escort. (lame) Spin and Lulu share their first meaningful scenes in years. (good)

Jason and Spinelli track down toxic balls (weird) while Maxie gets drunk an kisses Johnny (gross) Spinelli gets caught in fire while going through an air duct at the same time Maxie goes into the burning building to get her essential person (riveting) Maxie then needs to be saved by Johnny (stupid) while Maxie see Spinelli leave the burning building they kiss (sweet).

Spinelli goes on the run to protect Jason and says goodbye to Maxie (ahhh) He goes on the run with Winifred (WTF)Spinelli becomes the a hacker slave to an art thief (what?) He is even handcuff to a computer(yeah). Sam and Jason save Spinelli with Maxie help. (good)

Spinelli prepares to go back on the run but Maxie convinces him to come back to Port Charles with her because she needs him (good) and she may hook up with Johnny (wtf).

Maxie makes out with Johnny in the limo after convincing Spinelli to return at his own peril (gross skanky gross gross skanky gross)

Spinelli walks around his pink room in a towel (always good) While Sam and the Jackal take care of the evidence against him (great) with Winnifred (umm ok)

Spam PI is born (genius)

Johnny tries to steal Maxie gum on the dock while the Jackal looks on (gross and heartbreaking)

Spinelli and Maxie have a heated argument (angry Spin always good) Spinelli punches Johnny (YES)

Maxie asks Jason's help to seduce Spinell and she says she is not attracted to Spinelli that way (WHAT!??)

Then we see the spoiler pictures for three weeks from now (confused)

The Gun Saga

Spinelli's character has a long and strange history with guns on General Hospital.

There was his Hostage Crisis stage where he was terrified of being handed a gun by Jason. There was the time he shot himself in the foot on Night Shift. There was the time Georgie showed him how to properly load Jason's gun. There was the time he went to the firing range to practice. There was the time he stole Sonny's gun to get revenge on Russian thugs who messed with Maxie. Note, he never fired it.

Today, again, he had a "gun" moment. Jason found one in the box of goodies he intended to take to the new PI office. He even made a comment about whether or not having a broken heart would make him a better marksman. I don't know about you, but I found that strange. So, the observant fan in me has to wonder why they constantly reiterate two things: Spinelli has a fascination with "looking powerful" and packing heat seems to be a part of whatever vision he has of what that means. Secondly, they reinforce Spinelli's ineptitude with firearms.

Now, if I was a gambling woman (and I am, Blackjack baby!), I would suspect that this is important to his character. Is Spinelli doomed to being shot? Will he kill another, accidentally or intentionally? Could he simply be at the wrong place at the wrong time and look guilty? What about something out of left field...a gun can do many things. Or perhaps it's just another thing GH likes to mention but never explore when it comes to Spinelli.

Maybe this is just GH's way of insisting upon the idea of Spinelli's incompetence. Or, are they really trying to insist upon his humanity? Is he the type who could kill without remorse? No, not at all. Jason often tells Spinelli the importance of his innocence in the ways of taking another person's life--how killing someone doesn't prove you are a man, and often does the opposite.

Is it simply a metaphor? And if so, of what? Manhood, good guys, impotency, heroes, self esteem? Pick any one of them and it can be a reference to Spinelli at the moment. The resonance is there, with many different directions to go.

Is there an inevitable climax in this cat and mouse game between Spinelli and guns? If so, what could it be, and what would it mean for the character?

It all came crashing down yesterday.

My already cracked Spixie heart was shattered.

Spinelli confronted the slimness that is Johnny and Maxie.

He even punched Johnny (and Penny cheered)

I can give you brooding and I have better hair then him.

Maxie realized she may lose her essential person and Spin told her to stick it.

now I understand what they mean by loose lips sink ships

Then our brokenhearted hero proved he still cared about Maxie by threatening loser Johnny.

I don't know where I stand with Spixie at this point. I really think Spinelli has had enough. Maxie is going to have to kiss a lot of buts before I see her worthy of the Jackals affections. Someone commented in the last recap that he needs someone like Winnie.. Well he doin't need Winnie but he needs someone that cares about him as much as he cares about them.
