Spinelli the Innocent.

There are times when Spinelli shows how our innocent he really is. He sees Jason as super hero and he sees himself as the trusty side kick (and at times he is not that far from the truth)
We started off Friday with Jason and Spinelli tracking the bad goons as they went towards the Canadian boarder. Again and Again Spinelli pulls through for Jason. Jason would not have been able to track the goons with out Spinelli's health.

Spinelli did realize that Jason was a upset and warned him to not lose it with the goons when they meant up with them. It is such a controdiction. Spinelli on one side gets Jason and on another he doesn't. Jason is not always a 'good' guy.

Spinelli saw the dark side of Jason. It scared him. Not in the sense he fears Jason but in the sense that he is coming to the realization that Jason is not as perfect as he would like to think.

Spinelli watched as darkJason forced the goons to tell him who was behind the threat on Elizabeth and Cake (Cameron and Jake). When he believed that Jason would go to far he interceded and came into the motel room just in time to hear that the Goddess Sam was the goons puppet master.

Poor Spinelli. He knows how emotional Jason is over what happened. Now to find out the person who is going to face the wrath of stone cold is his Samantha. The horror. He seen what Jason does when he gets upset. Yeah Spinelli denied it and tried to convince Jason that there was just not way that Sam was involved but he knew just like Jason that it was true.

Spinelli was waiting at the penthouse for Jason to return after confronting Sam. Spin happiness over the fact Jason didn't do something to Sam was short lived when Jason implied next time Sam goes too far he may not make the same decision and that if Spinelli cared for Sam he would warn her.

Spinelli went over to Sam's new apartment with house warming gift. He got her a lava lamp in a bag that strangely matched her dress. Sam and Spinelli had an interesting discussion. He still has so much misplaced faith in Sam but I do think he is starting to realize she has just who he thinks she is.

Review of CARTS

CARTS
Review by Rene’ Thurston
Contributing Writer, BradfordAnderson.net
Moderator, “Bradford Anderson Fans” at MySpace

Have you ever left your local warehouse store on a Saturday amidst 5000 of your fellow neighbors, pushing a cart filled with things like an 85 gallon vat of mayonnaise and a 120-count pack of tube socks, and found yourself noticing “them?” By “them,” I mean cart attendants. Those orange-vested humans who move in a perpetually zombie-like state, pushing mile-long piles of carts, seemingly unaware of the possibility they may be backed over at any minute by someone with 74 cases of beef jerky obstructing their view. You find yourself thinking, “WHO would take that job? Surely they have a grease trap cleaner opening over at Taco Bell?

Director/Writer Chris Cashman leads us to believe that no one would voluntarily take such a job. It is, in fact, purgatory, and he explores that particular punishment in his hilarious film, “Carts.”

I have to admit, my initial interest in Carts was to view what was sure to be another fine performance from one of my favorite actors – Bradford Anderson. I wasn’t sure what else to expect from a low-budget, independent film from a first-time feature director. Imagine my surprise to find that Carts was absolutely hilarious, superbly shot, fabulously acted and had a wonderfully unique and highly entertaining storyline.

The film centers on Roberto, the leader and longest-suffering member of a band of misfit cart attendants at “Cost Low.” Each is serving their time in purgatory for crimes committed in their former lives, the details of which are outlined for each attendant at the beginning of the film in the most hysterical fashion. Not only must they serve time in purgatory, but they are brought back with characteristics, personality traits and daily lives that serve to further punish and drive home the atrocities they inflicted in their previous lives. From the hostile lesbian (who wasn’t even female in her former life) to the self-proclaimed “God’s gift to women” to the completely unhinged Asian who’s the new kid on the block, they all must serve their penance to be released to either heaven or hell.

Bradford Anderson plays Ed, who in his previous life was a famous actor who killed his wife in a manner that may be recognizable to anyone who hasn’t been living in a bubble for the past five years. He has been sent to purgatory, turned into an uber-geek who babbles on about sci-fi shows and role playing games while living under the torment of an over-bearing mother. Ed also requires two “pep pills” per day, provided by the aforementioned mother, in order to function. When Ed misses his afternoon dose after reluctantly giving it to Brad, his fellow cart attendant and burned out druggie, the “real Ed” comes through. For those who have only seen Bradford as cute and charming cybergeek Damian Spinelli on General Hospital, this is a performance you won’t want to miss!

In the midst of an already tedious existence schlepping carts, the not-so-merry band must also maneuver their way through a series of pushy, angry, screaming, senile and just plain crazy customers in the course of the day, including Mad TV’s own Mo Collins as a crazed woman who peddles her bike through the parking lot, tormenting both customers and the Cost-Low employees with her psychotic and hilarious rantings.

Overseeing this group of miscreants is Sam, the lot security guard, acted to the hilt by Ted Lange (yes, THAT Ted Lange) But you’ll forget the cheesy 70’s theme song once Sam opens his mouth. Isaac never served a gin and tonic with the slew of obscenities that Sam utters in the course of a single sentence. Never has an angrier human drove an electric security cart, but he becomes a wealth of wisdom and advice for Roberto, who finds himself facing temptations on the last day of his sentence and the ever-looming moment of judgment.

Will Roberto make it to the Promised Land, or will the offer of a raise and an awesome dental plan damn his soul forever? Well, you’ll just have to see Carts to find out. If nothing else, it just might make you realize that your own job isn’t as bad as you thought it was.

CARTS WORLD PREMIERE!

FINALLY!! I have been hinting here and on the other boards that there MIGHT be another venue to see Bradford, and now it's finally time to announce it!

Long story, but this year, I am working on the staff of the Temecula Valley International Film and Music Festival. I emailed Chris Cashman, writer and director of Carts, (starring Bradford!) earlier in the year and told him he should definitely submit the film to the festival. For the past several months, I have been working diligently to get the film recognized as the greatness that it is (and it definitely is!) with the programmers and communicating back and forth with Chris. Only 120 films are accepted to the festival, and they received over 1000 FILMS!! So Carts definitely had to stand out. FINALLY it was announced that the film was ACCEPTED!! And just a few days ago, we finally got the schedule of the screenings.

CARTS WORLD PREMIERE!

Thursday, September 13, 2007, 6:00 p.m. at the Temecula Valley International Film and Music Festival, Temecula, CA - see www.tviff.com for more info, directions and tickets (there's LOTS of reasons to attend this 5-day festival - see the site!)

Also a SECOND showing on Saturday, September 15 at 9:00 p.m.

ALSO showing at the VALLEY FILM FESTIVAL in El Portal Theatre at 5269 Lankershim Blvd. North Hollywood, Friday, September 14th at 7:30 p.m.

Because of my staff affiliation with the festival, I have viewed CARTS (IT'S GREAT AND SO IS BRADFORD!!) and with Chris Cashman's encouragement and blessing, I wrote a review for the film. Chris was thrilled with it and is having his web site guy add it to the official site (though tonight, I don't see it as of yet) and to Internet Movie Database. He asked that I try to get the review out to other sites as well, especially Bradford's official and fan sites. I sent it to Shelley, Bradford's official site mistress and I will post a link as soon as it is available. I want to post it here but will wait for Penny to tell me HOW she wants me to post it (in a post? A separate review area?)

I was lucky enough to meet Chris Cashman and his lovely wife, Lisa, at the festival Media Night on August 16th, and they are SUCH nice people!! He feels fairly confident that Bradford WILL be attending one of the screenings, so KEEP CHECKING BACK!! Once I know for sure, I will let everyone know. I have made Chris promise an up close and personal meeting with Bradford as a thanks for pushing this film so hard with the festival. :) So let's hope I have some great photos and a story to share SOON!

HOPE TO SEE SOME OF YOU SO-CAL'ERS AT THE FESTIVAL - OR IF YOU ARE FROM OTHER AREAS MAKE THE TREK! IT'S WORTH IT!! A host of OTHER celebrities will be on hand at the festival this year too, including a Lifetime Achievement Award for Smokey Robinson (who will be there!) as well as a surprise MAJOR headliner band as part of the Music Fest. Plus some other MAJOR celebs that will be a surprise!

HAPPY RENE'!

Serial Drama Mention

Mallory at Serial Drama gave Bradford a good review for last night's Night Shift. Ok I admit it I love this blog. They can be harsh even to my dear Spin but it is always a good read.

Night Shift: Hold on maternal one.. Your baby needs you.

Dam You Guza!!.
--
This episode of Night Shift beat last week for me for being the best of all of them so far. It was sad and power and Guza if you ever read this you SUCK for killing Stacy.

The second picture is my cell phone's new wallpaper
We start off were we left off last week. Spinelli, Jason Stacy and the baby (just born) are stuck in the elevator. The baby was not breathing and Jason does CPR.The baby starts to breath and Jason hands the baby off to Spin so he can focus on the mother who seems to have lost her pulse. Spinelli is very sweet with the baby. Shortly the doors finally open and Stacy and the baby are whisked away.

We don't see Spinelli again till he cleans up. In adorable scrubs. Jason and him are both checking on the "charmed one" They find out that the baby is being moved closer to Stacy in case she wakes up.

Jolene talks with Spinelli and praises him how great he was to have been a help to save the baby and Stacy. Spin shares that he feels responsible. Jolene and Spin go by Stacy's room to get a peak as Stacy has woken up and is holding "the charmed one". They just get to the window for us to see Guza kill Stacy. Poor Spin.

We watch as the whole hospitals deals with Stacy's death and Spinelli breaks my heart (great job Bradford)

by the end Spinelli, Kelly,Jason & even Robin blame them selves for Stacy's passing. Note before i end. Spinelli seemed to be greatly affected by seeing the 'other baby' get picked up by his dad. foreshadowing?

one last look at 'the charmed one'

Flee.. DA of Darkness Flee.. While you still can... flee

I noticed something very interesting about Spin today. Some may have seen his behavior as a 'little over the top' I saw it a whole other way.

hey anyone notice Spin is wearing a different shirt then yesterday even though its the same day
We started off today liked we ended yesterday. Spinelli and Jason huddled around Spin's laptop as Spin finds images of the 'thugs' so that Jason can track them down. We then have a great scene where Spinelli with Jason's direction find one of the 'thugs' car licence plate. They start to have a dicussion about what if Ric is behind the threat when they are interrupted by the DA of Darkness himself.

This is were Spinelli shows off his smarts and how much he cares about Jason. He starts yelling and acting all tough with Ric (who does a pretty good job at pretty much dismissing sweet Spinell).Yeah he was acting 'foolish' but watch the scene again this time remember what usually happens when Ric baits Jason. Do you see it? Spinelli was trying to take the focus off Ric and Jason and instead of Ric and Jason coming to blows they ended up barely interacting at all..

Leave DA of Darkness before Jason bashes your head in.
Sonny ends up coming and breaking the interaction up. Spin keeps his tough guy act up while Sonny is there too. When Ric leaves Spinelli is sent off to the pink room. No one realizing what a help he was.

We don't see Damian again till he sneaks out of his regrettably pink room to continue the discussion that Spinelli and Jason had before Ric interrupted them.

is the godfather still here?
Spinelli shares that he has one of the thugs 411 and out caped crusader
Jason grabs his leather jacket and runs out the door in super sonic speed.

The Bad Blonde One, The Jackal & Stone Cold...

Best Buds Spin & Jason
Did anything else matter about this episode besides are bookended Jason Spinelli scenes with our dash of Maxie & Spinelli?

perhaps one of the sweetest images of Spinelli EVER!
We find our hero the Jackal at the start of the episode asleep. Jason who is hot on the trail of the thugs that threated Elizabeth in the park quickly woke Spin up. First can we start with the job done of Bradford's hair to get that slept in Look.. Amazing.

Best Hair!

the power of orange soda
I loved watching Spinelli wake up. Bradford really showed his acting skills. Jason has Spinelli try and see if he can track down the bad guys using his magic powers. It was funny how Spinelli talked about going through he own "secret pain"

waiting for the Jackal to wake out.
After our opening Spinelli & Jason scene we next seen our PJ wearing assassin of cyberspace with Maxie. (did I miss Maxie getting to the penthouse? She just appeared)

Stone Cold save me from the bad blonde one.
She said she was there to track down the guy who threated Elizabeth (but we know she already know who did it) to help Coop out. Kristen Storms & Bradford ALWAYS have great scenes together. It was so cute when Jason came in the penthouse and saw Maxie trying to manipulate Spin.

want to try orange soda? it always makes me feel better.
Then the episode ended with another JaSpin scene. Honestly I feel this is GH's best "pairing" right now. (with Skate second place) At the end of the episode Spinelli pulls through again with tracking down some footage or pictures of the 'bad guys'

Tuesday: No offense but the Jackal does not need to be apprised of the details

I watched the earlier scenes involving Lulu and monster Logan in ff so the 'stuff' that happened earlier I I didn't really see except really fast (honestly that may have made it worse).. Gross Lulu.. Gross. Maybe someday you can have a 'healthy' sexual experiance. You go with you 2 or 3 times with Dillon that happened because of a lie to THIS. Talk about a step down. Now that the elephant in the room has been dealt with lets go back to our regularly scheduled program.
We see our great Spinelli first after Maxie sent Lulu to Spinelli after talking about a new game he created about her. (did I miss the part where Spin tells Maxie about the game??)

Spin is always so happy to see the fair blonde one
So Lulu comes over and pretty much tells Spinelli that she has done 'it' with Logan. Logan is great and wonderful. blah blah blah.. wasn't it just Friday that Lulu seemed reasonable again? what happened? She wasn't even very nice to him. What was the point in coming over right after being with Logan. She didn't even change her clothes. I can't even talk about it anymore.. Just look at that face.

Spinelli needs a hug again.

Monday: What the Blonde One does is none of the Bad Blonde One's beeswax..

My daughter saw Spinelli in this scene and said "Nice Shirt"
Today (well Monday) We start off in the Jason's Penthouse. Spinelli and Jason are having a discussion about if Jason would like Elizabeth and the boys to live with him. It was a pretty sweet discussion as most Jason & Spinelli discussions are.

Then Spinelli catches Lulu leaving Kelly's with Logan (gag). The poor boy goes into a gloomy mood. He goes into to Kelly's and has a warm discussion with Mike. (I just like Mike and Spinelli scenes) I love the special Spinelli smoothy.

Even the great Spinelli smoothy could not cheer him up after watching Lulu walk off with the monster..

give the boy a hug
Maxie saw Spinelli sulking and decided to poke him with a hot iron. (I must admit though I am partial to Maxie and Spinelli scenes for some reason.) She tauted him about Lulu "being with" Logan and how Lulu does not like him....

so the week of Spinelli's torture continues.............

Lots and Lots of Videos

I just posted 8 video that various people did.. Great job everyone.

SpinLu A/R Walking Her Home video

by mycatmeows

An A/R vid about the best potential GH couple. Spinelli and Lulu grow old together, get married, have a baby, and are madly in love the entire time. When they are both very old, she passes away, but he is still there for her.

Note: Old Spinelli=Edward, Old Lulu=Mrs. Storch from Night Shift.
