Spinelli's character has a long and strange history with guns on General Hospital.
Maybe this is just GH's way of insisting upon the idea of Spinelli's incompetence. Or, are they really trying to insist upon his humanity? Is he the type who could kill without remorse? No, not at all. Jason often tells Spinelli the importance of his innocence in the ways of taking another person's life--how killing someone doesn't prove you are a man, and often does the opposite.

Some thought he had an icy disposition, but to his friends, he was as warm as hot buttered buns straight from the oven and when he sang Karaoke, he had the voice of an angel. His rendition of Ice, Ice Baby brought a single puurfect frozen tear to my eye.
He was a free spirit and rarely wore pants, choosing to go go commando instead.... he traveled where the wind took him and he didn't stay long. He had no family or backstory. In his short time with us we grew close, though he was an enigma, wrapped in a mystery trapped in a conundrum. He was my best friend, my essential snow person. He has gone to the Great Ice Palace in the Sky. Sometimes, when I look up at the night sky, I think I might just be able to glimpse my dear Snownelli at the tip of Orion's sword. We will miss you dearly... Farewell Fair Snownelli.
