In Your Keeping (Spinelli and Maxie)
Spikey's video powers are shown again :)
How Spinelli got his Groove Back..
ok I guess its debatable if he ever had his groove before to get it back. Who knew that spleen removable could be so beneficial.
Our boy has been more sure of himself the last few weeks. He is more apt to say what he feels regardless of his own fears (well he got one more BIG thing he needs to fess up though)
He has had great talks recently with Maxie and Jason.
He even put his own heath at risk to support Maxie..
I heart spleen-less Spinelli.
(ps I am around just busy will try and get the post up on the blog promise)

A "Work of Art"
I just wanted to drop in quickly and make a post about how wonderful this past week has been on the Spinelli front. Spinelli was cool, calm, & collected but at the same time our loving Jackal. Bradford is doing a wonderful job driving this character forward. At the same time, we got the pleasure to see some of the best soap dialog in years transpire between Spinelli, Maxie, and Jason in all sorts of combinations. Jason and Spinelli took by breath away, then Maxie and Jason discussed her feelings for the Jackal, and of course we had a spectacular end of the week with Spinelli and Maxie at the penthouse talking about imperfections.
Stunning, every single day brought a tear to my eye, something this show hasn't done in years, except for the occasional emotion filled montage. Kudos to the wonderful performers this week and the excellent writing and directing that went on to make what could have been a completely unimportant week in the show absolutely outstanding.
This wasn't a sweeps story or anything, but the attention to bringing the viewers a delightful set of scenes still deserves acclaim. If every week and every character's story was handled with as much care and love we all might start feeling that truly breathtaking sense of enjoyment and adoration for the soap opera genre once again.
If you appreciated this week as much as I did, I hope you let those in charge know. Call and write, sending your own kudos to the kids who deserve a solid round of applause. I felt heart and soul this week. Who needs dramatic stunts and high profile plot twists when you have enough emotion in one perfectly constructed dialog to drive the emotions home? This was soaps at its best, just characters expressing their souls and addressing conflicts in ways that are believable, and I adore the fact that my fave Spinelli was involved in them.

Do you have some suggestions on how to make the blog better? I have just been creatively drained as of late and I would love suggestions from you folks for things you might want to see here. More recaps? Commentary? Debates? Something else? Do tell!

In Memory of Spleen
I couldn't resist...I thought Spinelli's spleen needed a funeral. If you don't know what I am talking about, you might be a few episodes behind on GH...so...disregard this! LOL
In Memory of Spleen
Spleen...You will be missed. I remember the first time you destroyed redundant blood cells in Spinelli's body. Wow, good times. Without you, Spinelli will certianly have a predisposition for certain illnesses. The left side of Spinelli's body will never be the same. When Dr. Hunter said you were like an exploded watermelon inside of Spinelli's body, my heart broke knowing you would never produce tuftsin the tetrapeptide again.
The immune system where he worked every day of his existence certainly has a heavier load on their hands now that he is gone. I know that I certainly will miss him. The way he existed behind the stomach...the red pulp that was used for mechanical filtrations...Defending his home body from infections day in and day out...
Spleen leaves behind a Liver and two Kidneys, Lefty and Righty. I know all of our hearts (and lungs, and intestines) go out to them in this, their hour of need.
Please share your memories of Spinelli's spleen in the comments...as I am sure they are to be help ease the ache of slightly for Spleen's family. Spleen, RIP!
