Saw Bradford's film CARTS!

Yep, I was lucky enough to get to view Bradford starring in CARTS! Unfortunately, for now, all I CAN say is that it was a very cute film, and Bradford is great in it! Writer/Director Chris Cashman, who is a GREAT guy and did a GREAT job with this film, has given me the a-okay to review the film, but he has asked me to wait another couple of weeks until he has finished his festival submissions. After that, I will post a complete review. It's a must see!

Night Shift...hmmm..well...uh....

Okay, first and foremost, let me say that I have not seen a regular episode of GH all week because (beginning shameless plug) - I have been the operations coordinator for a summer youth film camp (headed up by director Allan Goldstein - awesome guy and great "real Hollywood" director! Look him up on IMDB!) wherein my daughter just directed her first short film! Hurray! Showing at the Temecula Valley International Film Festival in September! www.tviff.com (end shameless plug)

NOW! By sheer accident in that I was lying helpless on the couch on Thursday night after a 14-hour shoot at that very camp in the brutal Temecula, CA sun, my TIVO popped on as Night Shift was beginning. So I lay there in a heat-induced stupor and watched. Perhaps my condition is the reason I must say....

I didn't like it. There. I said it. I just didn't like it. They seem to be going for an E.R. feel, but it came off as very bargain basement to me. I was worried about it ever since they spent the past two weeks lobbing the new Night Shift characters at us on GH. Those scenes and writing were VERY cheesy (and I'm not the only one who thought so - The Soup did a piece last night on the "Noah lookalike" scene).

Aside from Patrick, Robin, Jason and our beloved Spinelli, the acting is pure D-list (sorry, Kathy Griffin). My husband was watching with me, but once they said the ambulance blew up from laughing gas (nitrous oxide), he burst into laughter and got up and left. My ever-fact-based-filmmaker husband pointed out that laughing gas is not combustible on its own (aren't you happy to have that tidbit of useless info for your brain file?)

Putting all that aside, Bradford was brilliant as always, and his scenes with Jason were fantastic. I love that Jason is always the protector to his wingman, even in this "alternate universe" of a show. I don't know how I feel about Spinelli's crush on Nurse Jolene. It didn't feel right. It was wonderfully cute, and Bradford acted it to the 9's as always, but I guess I'm just a die-hrd SpinLu fan. Or maybe it's because I just don't care for the Jolene character much - haven't from the first time she showed up on daytime GH. I don't know.

Maybe it was just the heat. I'm setting aside my urge to poo-poo the whole thing until next week when I'm a bit more coherent. Besides, I NEVER pass up an opportunity to see Bradford, even if it's with a side of Velveeta.

looking for another contributor

I would like to have another contributor. I try to add them slowly and now seems to be a good time to add another since I don't feel 4 would be to much (there is already three of us) .

If your interested send me an email to spinellirules@gmail.com and I can give you details and what i am offering.
Tell me a little about yourself and what you think you have different then is already being offered. (for instance a die hard g-spin fan would bring a whole different dynamic)

Picture of the 7-13-07

no Spin Today but we did have Anna..EEEEeeee. So in the honor of the 'return' of one of my favorate characters of all time. I thought a metro-court storyline picture would be perfect.
ok I could not pick just one.

Breakfast with Bradford and Adrian

Is going on right now!
I need reports back on the event. If anyone one attended the event email me at spinellirules@gmail.com pretty pretty please. Would love to post what you experienced.

You can find some updates at SpinelliOnline.

Bradford talks about his Hair

I could not find it on the SoapNet website but I can tell that is were it came from. He is wearing the same clothing as in the other Night Shift interview.

Night Shift: Why the Jackal should not pack heat part 2.

The first episode of Night Shift premiered last night. I found it at least "metro-court" good. It was great to have real storylines centered on the hospital.

Opening Credits Night Shift
Spinelli shot himself in the foot. The episode starts with Jason's limo pull up in the front of the hospital (which is just a funny little scene for some reason) Shortly after an ambulance pulls up and because of a gas leak it blows up. Jason was the hero(as is normal in Guza World).

Jason's smart attempt at Jackal distraction
Ok now back to the Spinelli. He shot his foot. He got seen pretty quickly and student nurse Jolene takes care of him. The Jackal seemed to become quite smitten with her (as he does with most females who are kind to him).

umm please no shots

cute Spinelli hat shot.

everything is better with orange soda
Spinelli tells the police he shot himself in the foot and is quickly told that he could end up in jail for 6 months for all kinds of violations. Jason being the friend he is steps in and says he shot Spinelli in the foot by accident. The episode ends with Jason getting arrested.

It was an accident

Real friends get arrested for you.

If the Jackal wants respect I have to man up.

Zip it Damian. Zip it..You don't need to be more 'man'.

The drought is over. After almost two weeks we get our Spinelli back (if for just a bit)

We started off the episode with Spinelli coming out of no where in to a scene with Mr Craig & Carly. He was 'trying' to protect Carly from the unhinged one.

karate kid?
You notice that in the scene Spinelli has what looks like a busted up lip. Come to find out it is chocolate.

Yum Chocolate
After a verbal beating by the fake Jerry Spinelli goes into Kelly's and licks his 'wounds' where we also find Georgie . (or Loyal Little Sister). He does not think he is manly enough in general. Poor baby. Georgie plays her common rule as cheerleader for everyone member of the young adult group.
The dos and don't s of gun Safety

assassins of cyberspace should not pack heat

common sense. NOT a good idea!

looking cute with a gun does not mean you should hold one

sometimes girls can surprise you

See the first rule .
The whole thing with Spinelli and the gun was interesting when you take into account the episode of Night Shift on the same day.
