Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving to Spin and Bradford fans..

Before I get ready to go gorge myself....

I don't know about anyone else, but yesterday's show encompassed everything I use to love about GH.

Family, friends, love, romance, vets and newbies mixed together, plus history remembered.

G-Spin were so cute. I love that Maxie/Georgie were talking about Felicia's abandonment, with the outlooks that fit their personalities. Maxie--the cynical and negative, Georgie- positive and always trying to see the good in people.

It was nice to see Ned and Dillon, even though it was tragic circumstance and the final scene with Nik/Em was a tear jerker.

Without giving away spoilers, it seems that Spin is at a bit of a crossroads right now. You might want to let TPTB know what you'd like to see for the character.

Lake Elsinore Event with Bradford, Julie and Josh

Today, my daughter and I attended the autograph signing at Lake Elsinore Outlets with Bradford, Julie Marie Berman and Josh Duhon. We're fortunate enough to live only 20 minutes away, so we were definitely excited when we heard about the location of this event.

Given the reviews of SSW and how large crowds are known to get, we weren't sure what to expect as far as turnout was concerned, so we arrived at 9:30 (the event was from 1:00-3:00). The place was deserted! So we ended up shopping for awhile. Finally, around 10:30, the tent and table went up and a few people started to show. We finally decided to get in line around 11:30, just to be on the safe side.

We met a lot of nice people in line, several of whom had been to SSW and had missed the chance to meet Bradford due to his enormous popularity at the event. Needless to say, they were excited to see him.

Everyone knew that the three of them were inside of an empty storefront right beside the signing area as they had a "dressing room for performers only" sign on the door. The windows were blacked out with paint, so you couldn't see in. Everytime the door opened, a hundred cameras would go up in the air to snap a picture, but alas, it was security guards or other people. The crowd kept giving a collective "awwwww" everytime it wasn't them. LOL! It was kind of hilarious after awhile! At one point, Bradford's lovely girlfriend, Angela, emerged and walked off down the mall, apparently to shop.

Finally at about 1:03, the door opened and out came the three.

Josh, Julie and Bradford sat right next to each other, and each had a stack of photos.

Each of them signed one for you when you approached the table, but you weren't allowed to stay very long and chat, which was a bummer. There was fear in the crowd for awhile because the security guards said that if the crowd got too big, we wouldn't be allowed to take photos with them. By the time my daughter and I left, the line was VERY long, so they probably did stop photos at some point as the event was only for two hours, but we DID get a picture!

What can I tell you about Bradford that you haven't already heard? He could NOT have been sweeter if he tried! He recognized me right away with the biggest smile, and although I think they were supposed to stay seated and sign autographs only, he leaned across the table and gave me and my daughter both a hug. We chatted very briefly as the security guards were really hurrying things along. Julie was just STUNNING in person, and so sweet. Bradford asked me if I had a little "thingie" over the "e" in my name (Rene'), and I said I did. Julie had already signed her photo for me, as had Josh, and Julie yells out "you do? Oh!" So she takes the photo back to add the accent mark. I told her it was no big deal, and she smiles and says, "yes it is!" Then she took Josh's photo and added it on as well. Josh leans over to and says, "what did I do wrong?" and she says, "nothing, I fixed it for you." It was cute.

Poor Josh. He looked shy and kind of shell shocked by the whole thing. He seems very sweet, and I'm kind of sorry now I didn't speak to him more, but they really didn't give you much time at all.

I was definitely glad we went so that we at least had a brief moment to say hi to Bradford.

**Personal note - I've only lived in California for eight months, so I have to tell you - standing in line and actually sweating in the direct sun (it was about 78), surrounded by people in shorts and tank tops in front of a HUGE Christmas tree, surrounded by palm trees and just FOUR DAYS from Thanksgiving was something else! Wonderful but kind of contradictory! My relatives are freezing in parkas back home! LOL!

Julie Berman made me laugh saying this was the best job in the world, she got to make out with guys all the time. Bradford's "I can't believe you just said that" reaction was hysterical, as was Julie's "Sorry Mike" to her fiance who was in the audience.

She reiterates what she's said previously, that she roots for the underdog and wishes that TPTB would give them a go, although it's probably best this way. Lulu would most likely break his heart, and everyone would hate her. "We just make out in fantasy".



Bradford tells fans that if he can't have Lulu, he wants to be with Elizabeth. Becky raises her hands like TOUCHDOWN!!!!



Julie is introduced and pouts about Elizabeth. The hijinks start when Julie says "Hell, yeah" Lulu would be jealous if Spin got a girlfriend.

OK as promised here is my Super Soap Diary....I edited down all my incoherent minute by minute rambling and am just summing up all the facts that were needed to know


Saturday the park opened up @ 8....I got up @ 5AM arrived at the part @ 7 and finally got into the part @ 8:15. By the time I got up to where the passes were distributed the only people who weren’t on Stand-By were Kimberly McCullough, Julie Berman, Rebecca Herbst, Sonya Eddy, and Nazanin Boniadi, Kent King, and Dominic Rains who were doing a signing together...by then it was 9:30 ish and I got a fast pass for Kim and my sister got one for the trio from Night Shift. Because of the timing of our session we realized we weren’t going to be able to go to the ONE show we really wanted to see (the game show @ 1:45 with Jacob Young, Brandon Buddy, and Bradford Anderson)

We then were told that the stars were NOT coming out of the normal spot by Star Tours this year partly because a new stage was now there and partly because the talk shows were now in a new spot (more on the shows later)

At about 10:30 we found a spot where some stars were coming in and out but not much...we then wandered to a small area near where Bradford was signing(which was a small corner near the Toy Story Mania construction) we hung out by that area for a while....during this time my mom and sister talked to his girlfriend Angela she was reading ‘Wicked’ and told them how Friday night at 10:30 they got a call that fans were already lining up and they drove over and gave the fans Orange Soda and Barbeque Chips.... When Bradford was leaving his signing he signed my dad’s picture from ‘Rock the Quad’

We then went to see a 12:15 motorcade question and answer session with Bradford, Kim, Sonya, Dominic, Kent, Nazanin, and Jason Thompson....The ‘Nightshift’ show...

Notes from the show:
Bradford rode with Chip (random useless tidbit)
He keeps a dictionary in his dressing room so he can look-up some of the things Spinelli has to say that everyday for him is a vocabulary lesson

Nazanin said as a person she is a SCRUBS fan

Jason said hopefully there will be a season 2 and that Season 1 is out on DVD this February (the 12th to be exact)

We then had lunch and then it was time for me to meet Kim. She was a sweetie. I told her that her character was one of the few female characters on the show that don’t piss me off at the moment (for the record the others are Maxie, Georgie, Kate, Epiphany, Lainey, Kelly, Alexis, Diane and Nadine)

I met up with the rest of my family which were over in a ‘backstage’ area behind Rock and Rollercoaster where Dominic/Kent/ Nazanin where signing at the time and where there was a huge tent up where the talk shows where taken place(we were told that the tent is used on ESPN weekend for Sports Center and stuff)

We then went to the 3:45 GH show with Bradford, Sonya, Rebecca, Julie, Kelly Monacco, and Laura Wright. While in line I got a new Spinelli paternity theory...what if he were Jagger’s son (bonus points if Karen was his mom....picture it Spinelli being Logan’s nephew)

Notes:
When the show began they had a montage of moments showing on the screens some of the Spinelli moments were my personal top ones (SpinLu at CarJax’s wedding, the PUNCH.....)

Rebecca was the first one out and said her current story was her favorite one of all time
Bradford was next to come out (random fangirly fact they played SOS by the Jonas Brothers when he came out)
Bob gave him a test on nicknames and he got the first one wrong (well it was the ‘Unhinged One’ and Bradford said Johnny first then said it was a trick question since he called both Johnny and Craig that)
He said that if Spinelli couldn’t be with Lulu he would like to be with Liz...then he said Spinelli just wants a girlfriend (no mention of Nadine)
Julie was asked that if Spinelli got another girlfriend would Lulu be jealous she said ‘Hell Ya’
Kelly’s dream storyline would be Sam digging more into her past...more mother/daughter stuff with her and Alexis
Julie said Spinelli is Lulu’s friend and if she got with him she’d probably break his heart and fans would hate her though she hinted that down the line there might just be a benefit or two.....my personal opinion is that SpinLu is being set up to be this generation’s Jarly

After that show we debated about going to the next show but decided against it. We headed to get seats for the street jam early so we sat in the area and listened to the AMC Q&A with Jacob Young, Melissa Claire Egan, and Aiden Turner.

After the show my sister and I headed to the Great Movie Ride then came back for the 7:15 Grand Motorcade and Street Jam

Despite the fact that Scott Clifton isn’t on GH anymore so he wasn’t there and that Jacob and Bradford didn’t sing it was one of the best years yet and Sherri Shepherd > host then Rosie was last year.


Rundown:

Opening by Kristen Alderson + Brandon Buddy doing ‘Come With Me’ from Prom Night The Musical then they brought out the cast of the High School Musical show with them and they did ‘Night 2 Remember’ also from Prom Night..

David Canary introduced Bobbie Eaks and she sang (if anyone finds her performance of ‘Before He Cheats’ on Youtube and can rip it into an MP3 file I’d love you)

Next Bradford introduced Sonya Eddy and she sang

Sherri then introduced Kassie DePiava who did some of her songs....I’m not the biggest fan of Country Music but I LOVE her

Next they did a version of ‘Cell Block Tango’ with Bobbie, Bree Williamson, Kristen, Tika Sumpter, and Melissa Claire (again if anyone can rip me the MP3)

Cameron Mathison then came out and performed his dance that he did that past week and they kept saying how important it was to vote for him this far in the game so if you can’t get through on the phone vote for him online @ ABC.com

Kamar De Los Reyes then came out and re-introduced Tika then after she sang Brandon came out and re-introduced Kristen who did a cover of ‘Part of Your World’ 100X Better then Miley Cyrus (again MP3 PLEASE)

John Paul Lavoisier came and introduced Kathy Brier

Then the finale which was the High School Musical group coming out and singing ‘All In This Together’ with the Stars coming out in the end cheering....




Now for Sunday

I again got up at 5AM and though we left the hotel considerably later we still arrived at the park 20 minutes earlier and parked 2 rows closer however when we got to the gates the line wasn’t as nuts as it was the day before. We asked where the GH line was and were told by a cast member that the lines were cut and that guests would be let into the part at 8(the park didn’t open till 9) and to go to the respected line then and you may or may not get a fast pass. This is when I got pissed off a bit. We got into the park at about 730 and got into the GH line. The people who were in front of us Saturday were behind us in line that day. They told us they heard that 500 people were let into the park at about 6:30. We got into the que and the first ‘status’ announcement was that Bradford was just going into 2nd session and everyone else was in first. I was aiming to get Julie Berman or Jason Thompson but when at 8:40 we got to where the passes were distributed they said Josh Duhon was just about to go to stand by...he was at the tale end of his 2nd session so I thought what the hell if I get Stand by it will be number 1 or 2 so I’d most likely get to meet him anyways. I got a guaranteed and my sister wound up getting one to meet Jason Thompson (my mom was in line with us and got my sister a pass to meet Josh as well)

At about 9 we headed over to ‘Soap Central’ every year my sister plays ‘dress up’ and this year was no exception. She tried on a dress worn by the character Julia from AMC. The cast members said out of all the fans who tried on the dress she looked the best. They even tried to talk down the $85 price tag to $50. She would of bought it but she had nothing to where it to.

My sister and I then walked around a bit getting all the other ‘pre signed’ autographs we needed.

After that we rode Star Tours then hung out a bit where Brandon and Tika where signing. I overheard Tika saying that the next CD that the stars were doing was a valentines CD. We then saw that it was actually advertised so look out for ‘A Love Affair’ to come out this February so far I know that Tika, Susan Lucci, and Kassie DePaiva will be on it

After that we went to the 11 motorcade & Q&A with Josh, Julie, Kelly, Laura, and Rebecca

Kelly ‘Guesses’ Sam isn’t going to die

It was said there were multiple murders (duh)

Laura was asked if Carly could only save Sonny or Jax from a fire who would she save...she said if Jason was an option she’d choose him to which Kelly said ‘Let him Burn’

There was ‘Jason’ talk for a bit.

Julie was asked who Lulu SHOULD be with she coughed and said Spinelli then said she didn’t know and the others told her the correct answer should have been Logan as he was sitting right next to her.

When asked what guy on canvas would be there dream love interest Kelly said Sam has been with everyone which garnered a comment from Josh saying Sam hadn’t been with Logan.....yet...Kelly said she wishes there could be a crossover and Sam could be with John McBain as she wants to work with Michael Easton again...then she later said Sam and Patrick

Laura said she loves working with Ingo and that she loves CarJax

Kelly talked about Cameron and Dancing with the Stars and how she was co-hosting Street Jam that night

After that show we headed to go to the 12:30 ‘I want to be a Soap Star’ show with Jason and Bradford

I can’t begin to describe....look it up on You tube it won’t disappoint

My sister and our friends then got a fast pass for Rock and Rollercoaster before heading to my sister’s signing with Jason. She said he was so sweet. She got him to sign an autograph for our mom.

We then chatted with a real nice cast member who when I asked what they were going to do with the signs that said MGM next year once the park’s name changes she said that most likely they would just get dumped and replaced with signs saying Disney Hollywood Studios. She also said that Bradford and his girlfriend Angela were in the parking lot at 2AM and brought donuts to the fans camped out

We grabbed a quick lunch then I headed to the High School Musical 2 show because I’m a geek. I then met up with my sister and our friends and we went on Rock and Rollercoaster.

On our way back to where the ‘Adults’ were sitting we listened to a OLTL Q&A for a second

We then met up with the rest of out party and headed to meet Josh. He was nice. My sister said she might have to start liking Logan now. I told her it’s ok if she doesn’t that she can like the actor but hate (or love to hate) the character...I told her that fan fiction Logan > cannon Logan anyways....anyway I asked him if he enjoyed his first year and he said he did. I told him each year gets bigger and wilder and he said he hopes to get an invite next year.

We didn’t stay for the Street Jam but if Bradford decided to sing Sunday please hook me up with it on you tube





I’ll hopefully do an image post at the end of the week. In the meantime I wish that more ‘Juicy’ bits were giving like what is going to happen with Nadine and who the hell are Spinelli’s Parents

SSW tidbits and photos from fans..

Bradford's line sold out first, or close to it (SZ, NewEnglander, DD)ALL of his standbys were sold out as well..the line was enormous. (NewEnglander)

He was so surprised and looked genuinely amazed and ecstatic at the amount of support he was getting. Out of all the little tents set up for autographs, his by far, was the most crowded. People were crazy trying to get to see him. He looked so happy.

He was like Tigger. He kept bouncing and going from one place to the next, talking to us all. And I heard him say to someone that over the course of 2 days, he only got 4 hours of sleep! People gave him a baseball, and chocolate, and two girls gave him a shirt that said 'Babe Magnet'. He put it on and everyone screamed. He made everyone laugh. He was very personable and friendly and listened and talked to all of the autograph people. He signed anything they wanted him too and took multiple pictures with everyone. Some girls even kissed his cheek! Because he was so friendly, they only had enough time to do 20 of the standbys (out of 60). However, for the last minute, he took a Sharpie and started quickly autographing pictures and taking photos with the front row of standby..--(NewEnglander)

Bradford came out after Becky and Bob gave him a pop quiz on Spinelli-isms and Bradford got all 5 right. Bob looked at Bradford and said "Spinelli's not with Lulu - who do you think Spinelli should be with?" Lots of people started screaming "Georgie!" Bradford skootched over towards Becky and said "Actually, I think he should be with Elizabeth" as he put his arm around Becky. Sonya and Julie came out and Sonya said she thinks Epiphany should be with Sonny.

Becky/Bradford were on one side of the couch and Sonya/Julie were on the other side with Bob. Julie was asked when Spinelli/Lulu are gonna get together and she said "From what I hear, he wants Elizabeth now!" and Bradford put his arm back around Becky and put his hand on her knee. Julie replied by putting HER arm around Sonya and saying "That's fine, don't worry about me!"




JMB said that Lulu should be with Spinelli. JD said "How can you say that when I'm sitting here?" JMB said, "OK, Logan and Lulu should be together". When she said Spin she was half joking/half serious. She was pimping them a lot this weekend though, so I think she does want them.. (SassyK)

Just got back to the hotel after 2 days of SSW and just had to say that Bradford made me a fan and a believer this weekend....what a charming, funny guy! He was an absolute riot and never disappointed. From talk shows to I Want to be a Soapstar, he was the hit of SSW and the talk of the park ( BroadwayFan)



BA was really cool. He came out at 2 a.m. and brought orange soda and bar-b-que chips to the fans out there that morning. He had a camera crew and everything. He laid on the ground with us. He was great. He went out of his way to be nice to his fans. He was the biggest hit of all SSW. (SassyK)


My friend went to JT and BA's "I Wanna Be a Soap Star" where JT replaced TC. She said it was absolutely hysterical. When BA/JT came out on stage they greeted each other with some big buddy hug, very animated. The scene with the person from the audience was basically Robin telling Patrick, "let's go make out" and Patrick asking her what she's not telling him. She tells him she's pregnant and then Spinelli walks in and says he's the father. At the end BA jumped on JT's back and they fell to the ground, throwing pretend punches. She said she was dying laughing. (Tracee)

Spin Gives Us the "Man-Up" We've Been Looking For!

OH YEAH!! Could ANYTHING have been as sweet on Thursday's episode as Spin conking Lulu on the head with the butt of a gun? I literally JUMPED off the couch and screamed!

We begin with Lulu pulling out her well-honed passive aggressive skills and trying to use Spin's obsession with her to get her way. I LOVED that Emily called her on it, and Lulu looked pretty shocked for a moment that she wasn't getting the "backing" from the ladies she thought she would.

Spin tells her he can't let her leave, she DARES him to stop her, opens the door, steps out....I was so sure Spin would break as Lulu stomped off into the rain, spin around on his heels and yell after Lulu with a hopeless voice, showing us that even HE knew he could never stop her, then start whining to Nadine and Elizabeth that Stone Cold would never forgive him.

INSTEAD!! Without a MOMENT'S hesitation, he WHACKS her right on the bean! I LOVED IT! EXACTLY what she deserved (not just for the aforementioned preschool tantrum she was throwing, but for MUCH in the past few months). Spin looked a little sorry, but not as sorry as I would have expected in the past!!

GO SPINELLI!!

Then when Lulu wakes up, I love how he tells her not to "think" about what had happened. Even then, he knew what he had done was the right thing, regardless of how painful it was (physically for her and emotionally for him).

I do admit to being a bit perplexed, though, that she seemed to undergo some sort of personality change in 10 minutes - being a complete biznatch to Spinelli before and then dripping honey about how she couldn't believe her luck in having Spinelli as a friend.

Perhaps that's what they mean when they say someone had the sense knocked into them?

The Adventures of Spin & Nadine

Ok I have to admit it I am really liking Nadine. I like how she sees and treats Spinelli. The actress is great and I really think this may work. She may be worthy of my Spinny. Yesterday was so much fun. I am starting to like GH again and not just watch it like I am trying to down some really bad medicine.

Problems with Spinlu:
Lulu is mean to Spin and Spin is obsessive over Lulu. I really don't have much more to say on this because I have already said it before.

Problems with G-Spin:
Georgie a smart mature woman (who has already been married) is playing a 15 year old with a obsessive crush and poor Spin does not even have a clue. Its not working. I like G-Spin I have liked may of their scenes but they have de-aged Georgie by at least 5 years. I love Lindze she is has just been dealt a bad hand by the writers. Its sad it could have been done so much better.

Nadine seems to see Spinelli for who he is and still likes him (see no obsession on ether side here) Bradford and Claire Coffee (umm Coffee. Another reason to like her) really seem to work well off each other. So nut jobs in charge and writers who are currently on strike give my Spin a romance.
