Kudos GH

Friday October 31st

Now THAT is how you write an episode of General Hospital. Today's show was epic. It had all the elements of a great soap. Luke/Tracy/Laura/Scotty all brought great performances. Lucky, Nikolas, and Lulu recounted the history of Laura. Meanwhile, there was the drama involving Robin and Patrick as she went into labor. Very moving scenes, inside and outside the delivery room where all of Scrubs loved ones waited for news about the baby. Our Jackal was on location lending Maxie support and more importantly remembering her birthday (everyone wants to be thought of on their birthday) by giving her a gift that came straight from his heart. Spinelli gave Maxie a journal filled with artwork, music, and poetry that he collected from the classics. She commented that he must be a genius to know all of that stuff, to which Spinelli replied that every genius has a muse.

Truly moving scenes and I know I'm not the only one who was singing the praises of today's show on the GH comment line. Heck, the last five minutes had my heart actually pounding! That hasn't happened in a very long time, I assure you. I sat straight up in my chair as an action packed montage started with Scrubs in the delivery room and ended with Luke and Laura making eye contact. It was classic Soap cliffhanger Friday.

If every day of GH had as much drama as the last 5 minutes of today's episode did, what a powerhouse it would be every week.

Spixie Scenes

October 28th --

I really loved the scenes on Tuesday so I thought I'd come over here an comment on them.

To recap:

Spinelli and Maxie drop some stuff off at the church for the Scrubbie wedding. Maxie comments that she couldn't get through the wedding without him. Maxie rambles about all the details of setting of the church. Spinelli comments that one day she will make a beautiful bride. Maxie replies that it's sweet of him to say but she doubts she will ever be getting married.

Maxie says she'd always picture the perfect wedding. She and Spinelli are sitting in the church pews discussing her mom's wedding to Mac. (The following is almost word for word...I typed as she spoke). Maxie was so excited about them all being a family. Felicia had said her heart would always belong to Mac, and maxie believed that. Less than a year later her mom had an affair with Luke Spencer. "I hate my mom, I really do. But I'm just like her." Spinelli says "No, I must disagree most vehemently". Maxie disagrees because she says Felicia a liar shes a cheater just like her. So, Maxie promised herself a long time ago she wouldn't get married so she wouldnt ever hurt someone like Mac or Georgie.

Spinelli is later seen at the Scorpio residence (Suit alert!) where Anna comments on how well he cleans up. :) They twinkle just a little. I'm watching you Finola! Maxie puts Spinelli on the duty of locating Patrick and making sure he shows up to the
wedding.

These scenes are brief but so poignant. Once again we explore Spinelli and Maxie's internal issues, real things that hold them back. Spinelli didn't even say much but you feel his love for Maxie radiate through the scenes and that is only due to Bradford's ability to go the extra mile with his character, truly delivering heart in every moment. He isn't one to phone it in.

Also, Spinelli just looks great with the Scorpio family. I'm crossing my fingers that he can one day be apart of the family. ;)

Fall Campaign--Prep Time!

Attention Spixie Fans!

This is very important. I am working on a new campaign. Please help me by answering these two questions:

*What do you love about Spinelli and Maxie?

*What do you want to see for Spinelli and Maxie?

Here's the catch. I want answers that are UNIQUE. I need to come up with around 20 different answers to each of these questions. If you could, please try to have your answers vary from the person who just answered. If one person says they like Spixie's chemistry, think of a different reason, perhaps their comedy skills (etc etc) If you can't think of anything else, just say what's on your mind, but a diversity of answers would be appreciated.

Morning with Bradford.-Boston event.

I attended the Boston public appearance event on Saturday. It involved me getting up early driving down to northern T stop and taking the subway to the event. I was pleased how close the hotel was to the station.

I realized on the subway my phone was posting to the wrong blog. Sorry to anyone that checked. I was please to see I when i checked in I was on table number two . So I was right in the front.

Bradford arrived ab0ut 9:20 and at first tried to talk walking around between the different tables. He made everyone dizzy including himself so he stopped walking around and returned to the stage.

He told us he left L.A. last night and had not gone to sleep yet. You won't know it with the jumping around he did. I think if they could bottle Bradford's energy you could power a small country.

He then went on to explain a little bit about his plane ride. He was on the same flight as a few other of the General Hospital cast members who had events in Boston. An old man came up to him on the plane and asked him "Do you want to fix my computer?" I guess he is a fan.

There was a few recap of the Q&A

• He IS 29.
• Soapnet sent some of his damaged childhood videos to Disney for them to recover. (some of that footage can be found in the new camera ready)
• He mulched his backyard himself
• He commented how surprised he was to be in the Hot Guys calendar and didn't realize they used the photo they used.
• He find the name Dante just as amusing as some of us fans do.
• He agreed Camera Ready is messed up sometimes the first few days after release. We all laughed about how trippy it was the last time withe walking on the beach and the messed up sound.

He started to go around to tables when Carolyn Hennesy (Diane GH) stopped by as a surprise. I must say that if you thought the level of energy was big before she came in, Bradford and Carolyn were crazy together. It was like watching a comedy act. I could not stop laughing. This was Carolyn's first visit to New England and she didn't realize that Bradford was a 'local' till she made a baseball comment. She also explained that when they film a park scene they can't re-use the sod so she go in a list to get the sod for her house (she is a new homeowner). Oh she brushed her teeth with soap because she forgot her toothpaste.

After Carolyn left Bradford visited the tables. Right before he got to our table I won a picture from the raffle.

I was ether shy or tied because I barely said a word ot him at our table.. (though I did say things during the Q&A. Thankfully he remembered my name for me.

I had to leave at 11:30 to get to a birthday party in time. It was great. He is always very personable.
