Bradford Anderson and Kiera O’Neil will appear in a semi-staged reading of Celebration at The Crest Theatre, 1013 K Street, Sacramento, CA on January 17 at 8:00 p.m. Gala Reception tickets are available for $50 and general seating tickets are $25. "Best of the Best"
It's the end of the year and the "best of the best" articles start coming out.
We have already mentioned that Spinelli got best Hero in SOD.

One of daytime's most popular non-couple couples, the dynamic duo of Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) kept us tuned in as The Jackal's unrequited love for the fast talking Maxinista took them hither and yawn. While it has yet to be seen if these BFF's will ever be more than friends, and hit the sheets, er Jason's couch again, they definitely have plenty of fans calling for more Spixie.
In other news, Canadian TV GUIDE's Nelson Branco, (who is hard to please) chose Spixie as the Most Surprising chemistry of 2008.

More on SOD's 2008 Best Hero:
SOD, BEST HERO, Spinelli:
Square jawed, swaggering alpha males are plentiful on daytime. They are quick to come crashing through windows to save a damsel in distress. Heroism comes natural to them, but not so much for lanky, verbose, squeamish tech geek Spinelli, but then, that's what makes him so brave. "Grasshopper" is not a thrill seeker. He'd probably be very happy to sip orange soda and play World of Warcraft, but instead he often places himself in danger out of loyalty to his friends and partner in (sometimes) fighting crime, Maxie. The poor guy lost his Spleen, for goodness sake, when mobsters ran him down but they can't scare off Spinelli, who remains as sweet smart and resolute to protect the folks he cares about. Here's a nickname he needs to try on for size: Lionheart. Picture showed says GH's Spinelli(Bradford Anderson) is soap's most unlikely champion.

Allow Me to (Re)Introduce Myself

Well hello there. I am Dahlia, the NEWEST contributor of this here blog. But I might be better known as NamiV. I'm a regular over at the Spinelli LJ, as well as one of the administrators of one of Bradford's messageboards, Defy Convention. And now, I am here, infiltrating Penny's blog, bringing my own brand of mayhem, snark, and wackiness!

A little more about me...I have watched GH since birth. My granny watched it, as did my mom. Spinelli is a fave of mine because, well, quirky and smart is something I know well. Besides that, hey, I'm a grad student, I'm not THAT exciting!
But I do like long walks on the beach. Reading in front of a roaring fire. Making smores. TPing houses. Burning meals. The standard weekend stuff that everyone does, right? Heh...right? Hmm.
Ok, that's it! I'm glad to be contributing here. So give me a warm welcome because I'm like Diddy. I'm not goin nowhere...I'm not...goin' nowhere... I can't be stopped now...cuz I'm Nami for life! And I'm out! *drops the mic*

What's your Spinelli backstory?
We sit here two years and a month since Spinelli first graced our screens. The new characters since Spinelli all have more of a backstory then he has. (Dante who has never been on screen has more of a backstory)We still get nothing. All we know was he was raised by Gram, he has some parent abandonment issues, he likes to read and is good with technology. Lastly he was at PCU when he became dragged into the mob world.
The thing is we are getting closer to when Bradford's contract expires. It is my belief that at this point we will have to wait for back story if and when he resigns.
So I thought it may be fun to see what other people have in the back of thier heads for a Spinelli's Story.
Here is my stab..
His Gram is not his gram. She is not even related to him. She him because one or both of his parents wanted to protect him from some force. Maybe he is a Casadine perhaps Alexis's born after Sam. Maybe he is Nik's brother? What ever the news the circumstances of his birth and finding out about them will not bring Spinelli joy.
or on another note.
His gram is his Gram His mother died when he was young and his father was an unrelated to PC deadbeat. He was not the only baby though. He has a twin sister. She was raised by the dead beats family and while he knew about her he didn't' get the chance to really benefit from having her in his life as a child. She is very successful. A prodigy like him but she had all the benefits of a supportive family.

Update!!
Update on how Team Spixie is doing in the Equality Fights Aids charity fundraiser...Spinelli and Maxie fans have donated $770 in less than two weeks!! Amazing job! Soap fans are doing marvelous things. For more info check out the link on the side of this page (-->) or go here! We have until Feburary to donate and everyone is doing such a great job. I'm truly impressed!

Spinelli November 17-21
Most of the time when Bradford does soemthing really amazing on General Hospital I take the time to make a big wonderful post about how awesome it was. But, words really don't do justice to how awesome it was to see Spinelli take on a really dramatic role last week. I hope to see more of it. It's a travesty I can't write down all my thoughts right now but the Holidays have made me busy...I think a few posts down there is a feature from SoapNet about how great the scenes were. I think that sums it up pretty nicely.
