That storyline had such a profound affect on my life. My father died almost 10 years ago and I had it in the back of my mind when we donated his organs.

Claire Labine was a genius. I just prefer character driven shows, and she really knew how to tell a story.
I want to add that I miss Brad Maule. (another Guza got rid of) He was such an incredible actor and very under-rated.
I couldn't believe Guza had this kind, gentle character kidnapping Robin and keeping her HIV medicine from her. It just boggles what this writer did with characters we'd known for years for sake of plot.
I'm not a fan of Guza. I left the show for years. I give him credit for the idea of Spinelli, but I give BA credit for giving the character his heart, since he could easily be a cartoon.
