It Means a Lot to Me Too.....

Wow...the last two Spinelli scenes have just been incredible. I cannot believe the change in him. Perhaps Spikey was right last week and that last scene with Jason at the penthouse WASN'T a throwaway. Perhaps that was them giving us the last goodbye for "Spazz-a-Lot Spinelli." Did anyone notice how clear and concise he was with Lulu? He seemed like a regular guy, being cute and funny when appropriate. Even in telling Lulu that no one had ever come for him before, he did it in the cutest way - not at all in his usual "aw shucks, I'm really embarrassed to tell you this" kind of way. He seems to really be coming into his own with Lulu - and everyone else.

I tried a million ways to figure out how to convey this in words, but Spinelli was just - different - and in the most lovely way.

Karen Harris wrote today, and he was back to being a bit spazzy. Then again, he's around Logan, who he tends to be intimidated by, so we get severe Spin speak whenever he is feeling unsure of himself, or at least that's how it seems.

I am upset that he's so nonchalant about Jason killing someone, although I guess everyone figures that is what the ENFORCER does. Also, Lo did try to kill Spin and Lulu. I forgot how crazy this show is. We are seriously suppose to be rooting for Jason to get away with this and Spin not to give anything away. Also, Logan is dying to be in the mob, like it's the best opportunity in life after getting out of the military.

I remember why I quit watching for two years. I'm blaming Bradford for this.

Really, I think the way Spin is written depends on the writer. I tend to think Tracy Thompson (Is that the name?) Michelle Van Jean and Karen Harris the best for Spin. Karen writes very deep scenes for everyone. I didn't feel today was one of her better days (for anyone), but Spin was funny at times, particularly about the pink room.

I actually don't think Spinelli is nonchalant about Jason killing Lorenzo rather he has compartmentalized it. This is part of Jason (ick) The reason why Spnelli was more 'spazy' today I think was because he was so high stressed.

1. He heard something he should not have. (Spinelli is not build to be in the 'mob' he does know how to react. He just want to belong)

2. "other guy" tired the fake piece offering.

3. then Ric has Spinelli cornered. It would not have been an issue if he had not heard what he heard early with Jason.

When Spinelli is relaxed and unstressed he is like he was yesterday.. When he is stressed he is like today (though he was not that bad at all)

By the way, I wanted to add that I loved Spin/Lulu talking yesterday, too. I can't wait to find out more about Spin's background. We've got obvious hints that life wasn't rosey for him, except for Granny.

I hope Granny can be played by the same lady. I loved LHOTP. She was Grace Snider. It's been a while since I watched it, but I think she married Mr. Edwards.

Penny, I do agree that Spin tends to "hide" when he's under stress, and I like the idea that he doesn't fit in the mob. (and just wants to belong--ITA)

I keep hoping that with Jacob and now Spin looking up to him (and possibly getting hurt, look at what happened with Craig) that he's going to have to think about getting out.

I really don't think Liz/Lucky are going to make it, and it's getting obvious that he's NOT Sonny, and doesn't feel it's the right evironment to raise your children. Also, did you hear him after the Craig incident? He doesn't want people he cares about getting hurt and putting themselves at risk. (and yes, he was talking to Spin)

Maybe they could start a private Detective agency and then we all wouldn't have to root for mob enforcers. :) Spin would be the perfect "Wesley". (Yes, I love ATS and BTVS, sue me)

I would really like Spin out of the Mob. I am not a fan of the Mob.
At least Jason is tolerable around Spin and Sonny is now tolerable with Kate.

I have always liked the detective agency idea. I really don't think the writers will de-mob Jason though.
